Quattro: multi-item bedpan machine
We understand that your bedpan machine must work without fail tens, if not hundreds of times per day in a busy sluice-room. All Haigh bedpan disposal machines are tested on pulp disposable items from all of the many manufacturers and types of product, from urine bottles to large wash-bowls and sample pots. Haigh additionally test all machines rigorously as they leave our production line, incorporating many features specifically to reduce the risk of machine failure or blockage of your drainage system.
Quick - Quiet - Reliable
Quattro's low opening height as well as the deepest and widest opening makes it easy for all staff to load the unit without spillages.
The high visibility foot pedal opening allows for intuitive hands free operation lowering touchpoints and associated cross infection risks
The automatic starting option makes sure that soiled bedpans are disposed of immediately and do not cause unwanted unpleasant odours in the sluiceroom. This also reduces the chance of bedpan machines being overloaded by busy staff and has been proven to dramatically lower the likelihood of drain problems and unplanned maintenance costs.

Quattro's fast cycle time (90 seconds) means that users are unlikely to waste time waiting for the machine to finish its cycle, and compared with the long cycle times (typically 10 minutes or more) that are experienced with some bedpan washing machines. Long cycle times also lead to carers leaving multiple dirty bedpans and urine bottles lying out exposed in the sluiceroom, with the associated infection, spillage and odour issues that this can lead to.
Haigh's flagship bedpan machine is the quietest macerator as tested by recognsied test laboratories Quietmark when running with partial or full loads. The macerator can also operate with a Night Mode that while increasing the cycle time reduces the noise levels further. Monitoring and customer feedback has demonstrated that noisy machines disrupt patient sleep, leading to carers understandably leaving patient waste in the sluiceroom until morning: Quattro's low noise levels mean that this can now be disposed of straight away.

Haigh's cutting technology means that only small particles can enter the drainage system, eliminating the possibility of unwanted items such as gloves accidentally causing blockages in the pipework. Such items will remain in the unit hopper where they can be removed and disposed of properly, not cause expensive maintenance issues in the building's plumbing system.
